Waukegan Dealer Assures Its Customers That Toyota Is Working To Make Things Right

What are Toyota customers to think about the recalls, the testimony before a Congressional committee and the plethora of stories coming from the press? Your Waukegan dealer want to assure customers that not only is the Toyota Company working to make things right with the recalled vehicles, but that they will do everything possible to help customers avoid inconvenience and stress as issues are resolved.
Toyota recently issued the following statement: “History shows that great companies learn from their mistakes. That’s why all 172,000 people working for Toyota and our dealers are doing more than ever to make things right for our customers for the future.” The Gurnee dealership reiterated this promise.
Toyota is doing what it can to reassure customers amid massive safety recalls which have resulted in congressional hearings. Still, Toyota has pledged to fix more than eight million vehicles worldwide because of recalls due to brake systems and an accelerator problem. Toyota also says they have gone a step further in testing their vehicles and “we are confident that no problems exist with the electronics in our vehicles.” Dealers of used cars Gurnee also pledge to address any problems their customers may face regarding the recall.
Although Toyota initially downplayed the scope of the defects, Toyota President Akio Toyoda is now eager to share information on the developments of the recalls and their solutions. Toyota Waukegan dealers want customers to know they are available to answer any questions as well.
During two weeks of recent hearings before the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, the focus was on whether the National Transportation and Safety Board should have held Toyota accountable for the safety issues which were linked to the deaths of 52 people. Contentions that Toyota was slow to act on the vehicle problems in issuing a recall also were made. Customers shopping used cars Gurnee can be assured that their vehicles will be subjected to the same safety standards.
It did appear that this massive recall will bring about a change in vehicle safety laws. Toyota plans, as part of the fix in its recall on brake systems, to install brakes that can override the gas pedal in its future models. This would prevent the accidental acceleration that has caused some Toyotas to accelerate out of control.
One senator suggested that the law needs to be examined to see if it is rigid enough to keep our highways safe. Equipping every new vehicle sold in the United States with this type of brake system, which can be done with a small software upgrade, was the suggestion of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood. Your Gurnee dealership urges you to contact them with any concerns regarding recalled vehicles or service on other Toyota models.
Mr. Toyoda has pledged to do what he can to make things right. Perhaps he is the only one who can win back the trust of customers and clean up the reputation of the Toyota Company.  Time will tell whether customer loyalty is retained and the love for Toyotas continues.
