Winter Park new car in the works for Toyota
Toyota just won’t stay down. After breaking sales boundaries a couple of months ago they are now preparing to launch a new dedicated hybrid concept car, which was unveiled at the Detroit North America International Auto Show.
Winter Park new car buyers will be amazed by the power and style packed into this sub-compact concept car. Although details are not confirmed, the interior space and amenities alone should be enough to recommend this car, especially for those city drivers who find themselves in tight spots. The new FT-CH concept features a small size for ultimate urban maneuverability. This vehicle fits with Toyota’s vision to expand hybrid choices and move toward alternative fuel use with plug-in, battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell hybrid vehicles.
At 22 inches shorter than the Prius, the FT-CH style was designed in at Toyota’s center in Nice, France. Even though it is compact, the FT-CH promises passenger comfort and plenty of interior room. The designers have worked to appeal to the 8-bit generation, named for those preferring the retro style of the 80s with its state-of-the-art 8-bit video games. Winter Park Toyota dealers are happy to cater to the 8-bitters, who are described as vivid, stylish and innovative. Coming in with lower numbers than the Prius in both weight and fuel-efficiency (lower as in better), this new concept car also will have a lower price than Prius and be more readily available to younger buyers.
Prius has become the flagship for Toyota globally, but concept cars like the FT-CH may be considered part of the Prius family for eco-friendliness and efficiency. Toyota’s goal is to sell one million hybrid vehicles annually worldwide, most in North America. Eight new hybrid models are planned for the next five years which will help accomplish this goal for the Japanese automaker. When it comes to hybrids and small cars, Toyota has proven they know what they’re doing and this new line will probably have the same loyal following as the Prius enjoys now. Winter Park Toyota customers will want to be among the first to take a drive in this new concept when it arrives in the showroom. No definite date on that, by the way, but it will likely be in the next year.
As for Winter Park new car buyers now, be patient and do your research. The sub-compact style will not be for everyone. You may prefer a Prius or even one of Toyota’s larger, yet fuel-efficient models. The great thing about Toyota is they make a model to meet every customer’s need rather than assuming everyone wants small and efficient.
Let’s face it, those of us with families want all the interior space we can purchase and we want it to be stylish and fuel-efficient too. Toyota has that.
